On Tuesday evening, several of our Scouts went to Valley View Elementary to welcome our newest Scouts to the troop.

On Tuesday, February 13, our troop held leadership elections. I am pleased to announce the results:

Patrol Leaders

On Tuesday, February 13, the Order of the Arrow came to our troop meeting to run an election. 

For those not familiar, the Order of the Arrow (OA) is the honor society of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), composed of Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives as elected by their peers. Focusing on service and fellowship, Scouts must be elected by their peers. To qualify, there is a rank requirement and a minimum number of camping nights needed to be eligible to stand for election.

Tonight at 8:24 pm, Anastasia completed her Eagle Scout Board of Review to become GGAC's and Troop 998G's newest Eagle Scout.

The board was made up of Jill Zollinger, Twin Valley Eagle Coordinator, David Fliehr, a long-time committee member with Troop 900 in Livermore and Twin Valley Unit Commissioner, and Derek Dressler, Unit Commissioner for Council Service Area 12 (serving Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Maryland). Two other auditors were on the board: Ray Bernal, Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 998B, and Mr. Patel, Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 904.
